Hello, Dear Friends

Just checking in to say hello to all.  I became overwhelmed with work, family, etc mid-week and only today was I able to read and enjoy all the wonderful messages.  Thank you for your thoughts, quotes, songs, lyrics, photographs.
I have been doing quad checks using the recording and find this incredibly helpful.  I have had some interesting experiences since leaving "The Hoff"; was able to put some space between stimulus and response, found that I really, really, really want to de-clutter, and am much better at active listening.  I do the appreciation and gratitude; plan to start a written journal but haven't done so yet.  Hands on heart whenever I feel the need.  Glad that re-cycling was mentioned in a group email; I want to keep on using that technique.
I am so looking forward to going through all of the recorded visualizations.
BTW, I tried to join the FB group but was told it was not available; am I too late?

Here is a poem I love and which feels appropriate, by Mary Oliver

"The Journey"

One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice --
though the whole house
began to tremble
and you felt the old tug
at your ankles.
"Mend my life!"
each voice cried.
But you didn't stop.
You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.
It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen
branches and stones.
But little by little,
as you left their voice behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do --
determined to save
the only life that you could save.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Anita
