Today's Practice: Intentions for the New Year
Setting intentions for the New Year is a bit different from creating resolutions, and those of you who have received Today's Practice for years may be familiar with the
practice I am about to offer.
I see intention setting as empowering. It supports us in consciously creating, rather than seeking from the perspective of lack.
This does not mean making a list of wants, needs or desires. It is about creating from the spirit's perspective a set of commandments that guide, lead and support you on your path.
Take some time in a quiet and still place to access clarity. Have a few deep breaths, ground yourself, and then imagine you are surrounded by golden light. From this place check in with your highest knowing and see/sense/know ...
Beyond material things that you want, what kinds of experiences do you choose to create?
How do you want to be?
Who do you want to be?
Peaceful? Calm? Present? Clear? Neutral? Happy?
How do you want to live in the new year? With intention? Awareness? Magnificence? Groundedness?
How can you be of service; to yourself and to the planet?
I encourage you to make a list of your visions and keep it with you, near you, within reach. This way you can see it, touch it and reread it often to be reminded. You can write your intentions out in aligned I statements if you like, then you can even use them
as a mantra. For example:
I choose to live in clarity and peace in each moment.
I consciously access highest guidance and welcome it in with ease.
I am surrounded by love with each action I take.
I believe in my own perfection, and I allow my completion to guide me.
I commit to living my purpose and being of service for the highest good of all.
I live in alignment. I am love.
Allow this year's intentions to be affirmations of positive creation.
Next make it known what you want. Ask for it, ask for help from The Universe, Creator, Your Guides, your friends and family! Ask for it graciously with kindness and gratitude, then trust, relax, allow, and it will be given!
Then when it comes time to create a list of actual physical creations you can do so by expressing gratitude for what you seek as if it is already so. This aligns you with the creation. For example:
Thank You for my continued health and wellness.
Thank You for my new car.
Thank You for providing me with substantial income, for paying me for my service to the world.
Remember, You are worthy and deserving.

Thank You for sharing 2019 with me, and Blessings to you throughout 2020!
With love,
Veronica
