Deanna.. the US embassy in Chile is very together. They've called me back twice since I contacted them less than an hour ago. Bottom line: the night duty officer is going to get in touch with the embassy's American citizens liaison and they will be touch with you. They'll call me to report on their progress so if you don't hear from them don't worry, they work 24/7, it just might take a while to go through proper protocol.

Dear Friends,
I want to let you all know that I received word today from our Q2
classmate and Friend, Deanna Stolberg, that she was in a serious accident
last Saturday while on a bicycle adventure in Argentina. Her text indicated
that she has been taken to ‘the best hospital in Santa lago’, which I
assume is in Argentina, and will have surgery today to stabilize her L1 t6
(maybe M.E. can explain what that means).
Though she indicated there are “lots of other things not doing so well"
her tone was upbeat and she’s encouraged that she is not paralyzed and is
looking forward to coming home to "cycle again one day”.
She’s asking for all the prayers we can muster so please keep her in your
thoughts or prayers, and send Love, Light, and good wishes her way.
