Today's Practice: You Are Already Perfect

So often we try to change or alter how we look to please others. Perhaps we look in the mirror and see only the things about ourself we don't love. We wish we were taller, thinner, brighter, less wrinkled, something, anything, other than who and what we are. What if instead we looked in the mirror, and looked into our own eyes and said,

"You are already perfect. You are beautiful. Every feature that you have, every contour of your body, is unique and balanced.
Every mole, every freckle, every wrinkle is there for a reason, and each of those things adds up to make you You.
You are beautiful. Not to be compared with another, not to be changed, or altered, or covered up."

When you see and feel your own beauty you give others permission to see it too, you give others permission to see you as you truly are: A beautiful, perfect, incarnation of God.
