Today's Practice: New Year's Intentions

Rather than create New Year’s resolutions, I invite you to set New Year’s Intentions.

An intention is a choice.

Take some time in a quiet, safe place to access clarity around what you are wanting your life to be like this coming year. Begin by sitting for a few minutes. Let your thoughts go, focus on your breath and imagine golden light all around you.

Beyond material things that you want, what kinds of experiences do you want to have?

How do you want to be?
Who do you want to be?

Aligned? Loving? Compassionate? Present? Open? Clear?

What do you choose to experience in the new year?
Peace?
Happiness?
Neutrality?
Wisdom?

How do you want to live the year?
With intention? Awareness? Grace?
Joy? Presence? Ease?

This practice extends beyond desires of the physical body, and into new ways of being.

After sitting with these intentions for a few minutes (or days) write them out. Make notes, keep them somewhere accessible so you can tune back into them any time.

See this coming year as an opportunity to show up as an even more empowered you.

Then shine the light of your highest truth ahead of you aligning your path. Shine light through the coming year so that each morning when you wake this light is there to greet you.
