Today's Practice: Monkey Bars

I just came across this practice from years ago... It's a good reminder:

As a child swings on monkey bars, they must release the one they are holding in order to keep moving.

This might seem terrifying at first, what if they don't make it? What if they can't reach the next bar...?

However, if they never let go, they will never move forward.

What if by holding on, you are actually holding yourself back?

If you release the bar you are using as a crutch you might find the next one is closer than you realize. This could be applied to many aspects of life. For example if you are staying in a relationship or at a job that is not working, you might be holding yourself back from finding alignment.

We have to let go before we can grab on.
