Today's Practice: Pull Back
It's okay to pull back once you've moved forward.
Often we feel that once we have made a commitment to do something we have to follow through. Even if it is something as simple as deciding what to order on a menu. However, the truth is, it's okay to stop, and follow your highest alignment.
I often used to have the experience of taking a step towards something, (it could have been as simple as finishing the food on my plate, picking up the phone to text someone, or even if I had began saying something) when I would feel a strong intuitive pull
to stop. The sense that this choice was not aligned would wash over me quite strongly. However I would justify continuing my actions by saying to myself, "I'm already this far into it, I'll just follow through..." Only later to wish I had listened to the nudge
from my higher self.
It took me a long time to learn that it was okay to put the fork down mid-bite, put the phone away, or say "Nevermind, it's not important right now" in conversation.
It's okay to step back, reassess the situation - and choose to make a different choice. When this guidance comes so clearly to us, there is usually a reason for it. There is a bigger picture at play that we cannot see from our zoomed in perspective in that
moment.
When you get the nudge - honor your truth, and pull back.
